I couldn't resist.....I had to go back on the weekend with Ryoko to see the lights and it was the most romantic time I've ever had. Christmas in Japan might be all commercial and it ignores the original meaning, but days like this are worth it (^_^).
Maybe words can't do justice how I feel.....

See you in a week!!

Season's Greetings from Sendai!!

I just got back from the Sendai Light Display on the City's 2 main streets, Aoba Doori and Jozenji Doori. The first picture (and less spectacular of the 3) is Aoba Doori from my classroom window. The avenue has about 400,000 lights on the trees. But the better display is on Jozenji Doori, which is a 20 minute walk away. I went tonight with my friends Ciara and Lauren and it was worth the walk: 600,000 lights on 4 rows of beautiful trees and over 2 kilometres in length.
Season's Greetings everyone!! (^_^).

The next day was all about De-tox

I survived my second GEOS Christmas party and it was better than the first (^_^). Last year's party was pretty big and I didn't know many students, but this year the party was smaller and more intimate. There were about 60 staff and students in a small Italian restaurant close to Sendai station. We had waay too much food and drinks as well as games and prizes for all the students. The party was only 2 hours long, but no matter, because about 40 of us went to another restaurant for the 2nd party, which was followed later by a 3rd party attended by about 20-25 people. So we drank and ate and had a good time for about 9 hours in total. Thank goodness days like this only happen once a year. I took about 60 pictures, so here's a few of them. I'll have to show some of ya'll the rest in a couple of weeks. 2 weeks and I'll be home!!!! I can't believe it(^0^). See ya soon!!
