Another month, another yen.

Greetings all,

Here is another of my fashionably infrequent postings. Things ae still going rally well here and I`ve really settled into life in Japan.
Since my last posting, I`ve begun to go jogging again, I am learning how to save more money (although that`s still a slow process) and I keep getting good comments on my singing abilities. Not too shabby, eh? I hang out a lot with my three foreign co-workers, Emma, Ali and Renae (such as eating out, watching movies, etc), but I still do a lot with my students on Saturday nights and weekends; and the beer usually flows on those nights :)
Next month I`m planning to go to the Tokyo region (Chiba prefecture to be more precise) to visit one of my former students and one of her friends. They invited me down for the holidays, so I`m going to visit from December 23rd to the 26th. That should be a strange feeling, being in Tokyo and the surrounding area on Christmas and Boxing Day; but I know I`ll have a fun time. These girls like the same music as I do, so I know there`ll be a lot of late night singing.

Anyway, there`s not much else to report (at least, I can`t think of anything else right now. That always happens, I come to the internet cafe and my mind goes blank, sorry everyone). For all you inquisitive males out there (and for anyone else who is interested) I am still single, although I think I`m being pursued by a few people. As a foreigner, I get countless stares from Japanese women on the street, especially when I`m wearing my suit. I`m definitely not in Kansas anymore Todo. But I digress.

Take care everyone, sorry about these long intervals between postings and be sure to think of me on Christmas as you`re eating delicious Turkey (everyone here eats KFC on Christmas, thanks to the American influence right after WWII). Bye.

Brian

Here`s part of a quote that`s been on my mind lately.

`We ourselves may be loved only for a brief time.... Even so, that will suffice.... There is a land for the living and there is a land for the dead....`
